During the winter season of 2024, many low-income and underserved communities across Bangladesh faced extreme cold weather conditions. The dropping temperatures created severe hardship, especially for people living in vulnerable conditions without proper shelter or warm clothing. Children, elderly individuals, and daily wage earners were among the most affected.
Recognizing the urgency of the situation, Ruposhi Unnayan Sangstha (RUS) took the initiative to support those in need by organizing a large-scale winter relief program focused on distributing blankets to protect families from the cold.
Our Initiative
Our dedicated RUPOSHI Team carefully planned and carried out this activity by visiting underserved and remote communities where help was needed the most. We worked directly at the grassroots level, identifying families who were struggling to cope with the harsh winter conditions.
Distribution Support
As part of this initiative, we successfully distributed:
- 3000+ blankets to vulnerable families
- Priority support for elderly people, children, and women
- Assistance to low-income households lacking winter protection
Each blanket was more than just an item it was a source of warmth, comfort, and care during a difficult time.
Community Impact
Through this effort, we were able to bring relief and protection to over 3,000 people, helping them stay warm and safe during the cold season. Our team ensured fair and organized distribution so that the most deserving individuals received support.
